London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2019 starts at 12 noon on January 1st on Piccadilly, one of the capital’s most famous thoroughfares.
The Parade route is as follows – Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Waterloo Place, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Street.
(Please Note: we have requested bands march silently as they pass by the Cenotaph.. For the full sights and sounds of LNYDP, we recommend you choose a position away from this area.)
How to get to the LNYDP

By tube: Westminster, Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross stations are all on or very near the Parade route. Embankment, St James's Park and Green Park are a short distance away.

By rail: Charing Cross British Rail station is a 5 minutes’ walk away from Trafalgar Square, the middle of the parade route. For train times, fare enquiries and to plan your travel into London, visit National Rail Enquiries.
By road: Click on the link to get directions from your location to the Parade using AA Route Planner or Google Maps. For car parking near the Parade Route and to pre-book your parking space please check the Q-Park Parking website, where you will also find information on their holiday opening hours and parking charges.
By coach: National Express connects to all UK destinations and London airports.

There will be road closures throughout January 1st, 2019 for the parade.

Public Bus Stop Diversion Information
Some of the bus stops will be relocated due to some roads being closed on 1st January 2019.
Details about Bus Stop closure will be announced later in the year.
There is a dedicated area at the junction Whitehall at the junction of Horse Guards Avenue set aside for Disabled Access. It is an uncovered area of road space that is closed off to the general public. It also contains a toilet.
It is available on a first come, first serve basis on parade day to all people with disabilities, and an accompanying guest. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07891 081 069 or 07850 354 764 if you would like any further information. If you require vehicle access to this area, we are able to provide parking permits. To apply for a parking permit, please email email@example.com with your address details and a scanned copy of your Blue Badge by 21st December 2018. We are unable to issue parking permits without these details.
